Valentine's Day Contest!

Simply match the romantic cartoon characters (on entry forms in our Anchorage and Soldotna offices) in each category.  The winner will receive family night movie tickets and $20.00 towards goodies!  The correct entries will be entered into a drawing.  The winner will be announced on February 14th!  Good luck!

Christmas Contest Winner!

Congratulations to Shannon Pitt who won our Christmas contest!  She won a $200.00 gift card to Target!  Way to go Shannon!

Halloween Contest Winner!

Congratulations to Miyah Priebe for winning our Halloween Costume Picture Contest!  She had the most likes for her pirate costume.  She won a $25.00 gift card to I-tunes and a $25.00 gift card to The Yogurt Lounge.  Way to go Miyah!

Back to School Contest!

Come to our office and try to guess the number of erasers in the jar by the front desk.  The winner will win a gift card to Office Max!

Congratulations to our Anchorage patient Kira Keller for guessing the number of erasers in the jar.  She only missed by three erasers!  Congratulations to our Soldotna patient, Joseph Hensley, for being close in guessing the number of erasers in the jar!  Both winners won gift cards to Office Max.  Way to go!

Winner of The Mother's Day Contest!

Congratulations to Marcia Knowlton for  winning our Mother's Day Contest!  Her daughter, Madeline, wrote some very special words about her mom.  Mrs Knowlton was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a nice gift basket.  Thank you to everyone who participated!

March of Dimes March for Babies!

Congratulations to staff members Ambra McMillian and Adrian Mattes for participating in The March of Dimes March for Babies!  They raised $125.00.  Well done!

Weekly Nutrition Tips

Dr. Priebe's wife, Ingvild Priebe, RD, LD, is a registered dietitian.  As a special bonus to our patients, every week she will post an interesting nutrition tip here and on our Facebook page.  There is also an album created on Facebook where all the postings will be listed in case you missed one!  We hope you enjoy reading these tips!

Shopping for Thanksgiving Meal

Thanksgiving is almost here and if you're like many people, you will have lots of grocery shopping to do.  Before you head to the store, plan your menu and prepare a list that stretches your food dollar and adds the most nutrition to your holiday meal.

• How many people will attend?  Only buy a turkey that is the right size for your group.  Allow about one pound per person.
• Choose a turkey that is not self-basted.  That way, you can baste using fat-free broth and save calories.
• Buy plenty of vegetables to use instead of chips for dips.  Vegetables are also great to use in stuffing or as a stand-alone side dish.
• Buy whole-grain bread for your stuffing, and add barley or wild rice to increase fiber.

You can serve a meal that is not only has your guests raving about your culinary skills, but is also good for their health.  Happy Thanksgiving!

2012 Toys for Tots 

This holiday season Priebe Orthodontics is partnered with the Toys for Tots Foundation as a community drop off location.  With the help of our staff, our patients, and their families, we are able to bring joy and excitement to many needy children in our area.  Please help us do so!

Anchorage School Lunch Program 

There are hungry children in Anchorage!  We are happy to be involved in the "Anchorage School Lunch Box Program" and are a community donation site.  Please stop by our office and donate canned goods which will be delivered to children in need.  Our patients will receive 3 Priebe Pennies for each can donated!
